Daily Seahawks, Mariners & Ducks Update — June 22, 2026
Gilbert steadies Seattle, Canzone supplies the swing
The Mariners gave Ben the cleanest headline of the morning: a 3–1 Sunday win over Boston at T-Mobile Park, built on Logan Gilbert’s sharp start and Dominic Canzone’s early punch.
Gilbert worked 6⅓ innings, allowing one earned run while striking out eight, and the bullpen turned it into a tidy finish. Gabe Speier, Eduard Bazardo and Andrés Muñoz combined for 2⅔ scoreless innings; Muñoz punched out two in the ninth for save No. 13.
The decisive sequence came after Nate Eaton tied it with a solo shot in the third. Cole Young put Seattle back in front in the fifth, and Canzone — already on the board with his 12th homer — added insurance in the sixth. It was not a fireworks show, but it was exactly the kind of efficient series-salvaging win that keeps a division leader from wobbling.

Seattle Seahawks
Quiet June for Seattle, with the countdown pointed at camp
No Seahawks game or major verified overnight transaction surfaced in the sources checked. The useful note is calendar-based: Seattle is through spring work and pointed toward training camp, roster sorting and the preseason ramp.
Injury/roster note: No new official injury report is active in late June; NFL injury reports return during game weeks.
What to watch next: training-camp reporting dates, depth-chart battles, and any official roster moves from Seahawks.com or NFL.com.
Seattle Mariners
Mariners 3, Red Sox 1: pitching carries the morning
Seattle’s Sunday win was a tidy one: Canzone homered in the second, Young singled home Weston Wilson in the fifth, and Canzone’s sixth-inning groundout brought home Julio Rodríguez for the cushion.
Standouts: Gilbert: 6.1 IP, 1 ER, 8 K. Canzone: homer and two RBI. Muñoz: scoreless ninth, two strikeouts, save No. 13.
Race note: MLB’s standings feed listed Seattle at 40–39 and first in the AL West after the result. It is June baseball, so nobody gets a parade, but a winning record and first-place line matter.
What to watch next: Monday is an off day before a Tuesday opener at Pittsburgh.
Oregon Ducks Football
Ducks in summer mode: schedule, recruiting and roster watch
No Oregon football game occurred yesterday, and no single overnight item from official sources rose above the fold in this run. That makes today a monitoring day rather than a hype day.
Big Ten / playoff lens: Oregon’s next meaningful movement will come through recruiting commitments, preseason rankings, camp reports and conference schedule notes.
What to watch next: GoDucks football news, official roster updates, and Big Ten media-cycle announcements.
